Description
Omnipure K2548-BB Calcite Acid Neutralizer Inline Filter (Made in USA)
The Omnipure K2548-BB is an inline calcite (white marble) acid neutralizer filter designed to
raise low-pH (acidic) water and help deliver a more balanced, less corrosive, better-tasting finish.
Commonly installed as a final stage on reverse osmosis (RO) and drinking water systems.
Key Benefits
- Neutralizes acidic water by gently increasing pH
- Helps reduce the “flat/acidic” taste often associated with low-pH water
- May help reduce corrosiveness associated with acidic water (helps protect downstream plumbing)
- Made in the USA (Omnipure)
What’s Inside
- Media: All-calcite (crushed, screened white marble)
- Function: pH neutralization / remineralization-style polishing

Applications
- Final polishing stage for reverse osmosis (RO) systems
- Drinking water systems where water is acidic / low pH
- Situations where pH balancing is desired for taste and corrosion reduction
Replacement Guidance
- Replace on a regular schedule based on water conditions and usage (commonly 6–12 months).
- If pH improvement decreases over time, it may be time to replace the filter.
🔧 Installation Tips
Tubing Size
- Most RO systems use 1/4″ OD tubing (standard RO size).
- Some countertop RO systems and specialty setups use 3/8″ OD tubing.
- Tubing size refers to the outside diameter (OD) of the tube.
Elbow Adapters (Threaded Port)
- This inline filter features 1/4″ threaded ports.
- We ship it standard with 1/4″ thread × 1/4″ OD elbow adapters for typical RO installations.
- If your system uses 3/8″ OD tubing, select the 3/8″ adapter option to receive the correct elbow fittings.
✔ No tools required
✔ Remove the end cap and screw the elbow adapters onto the openings
✔ Push-to-connect installation for tubing
When Do You Need a T-Fitting?
A T-fitting (1/4″ stem × 1/4″ OD tube × 1/4″ OD tube) can be helpful if you are:
- Adding the inline filter to an existing 1/4″ RO line
- Looking for a cleaner branch connection
- Installing the filter without reworking your tubing layout
✔ Optional accessory
✔ Makes installation easier for some setups
Not Sure Which Option to Choose?
- If unsure, select Universal Fit option (Included 4 elbow adapters for 1/4″ & 3/8″ OD Tubing Connection)
▶️ Video Installation Guidance
Because RO systems and plumbing layouts can vary, there are multiple valid ways to install an inline filter.
If you are unsure about your setup, we recommend:
- Searching YouTube for “inline RO filter installation”
- Watching a video that matches your system type
(under-sink RO, countertop RO, post-filter installation, etc.)
Visual step-by-step videos are often very helpful and can make installation easier and faster.
