This is a bulk refill for a 2-stage (dual) slim 10″×2.5″ system, built around our premium coconut-shell carbon block — and sized for the long haul at eight complete sets. Stage 1 sediment catches the grit; Stage 2 is the upgrade that defines this pack: coconut carbon’s finer pore structure gives it the best taste-and-odor polishing in our slim range, a step above the standard carbon block.
How long does eight sets last? It’s marketed as a “2-year supply,” which assumes a change roughly every three months on heavier water. At the more typical 6–12 month interval, eight sets cover about 4 to 8 years — a genuine long-term supply for most homes. Your water and usage set the pace.
The value grows the more you buy ahead: at $69 for eight sets, that’s about $8.60 per set — better per-set value than our 4-set premium pack. All cartridges fit standard 10″ × 2.5″ housings used in most dual whole-house and under-sink systems with a 3/4″ port.
What this set targets — and what it isn’t built for.
Premium vs. standard carbon. This pack uses the coconut carbon block for the best taste-and-odor polishing. If taste isn’t your priority and lowest cost is, the standard-CTO 8-set pack (2YDUAL) does the core job for a little less per set.
How much to buy. More sets = lower cost per set. This 8-set pack beats the 4-set pack per set; if you want even more, the 12-set premium pack goes lower still. Buy to the horizon you’re comfortable storing.
Confirm your housing size first. These are slim 10″×2.5″ cartridges (9⅞″ × 2.5″). Big Blue 10″×4.5″ housings need the wider set instead — this one won’t seal.
Install in flow order. Sediment first (inlet side), carbon block second. Reversed, the carbon clogs with grit and wears out early.
On chloramine? This isn’t the set. Carbon block reduces chlorine well but not chloramine — that needs catalytic carbon. Store spares sealed & dry, and flush a few minutes after each change.
