What it does

• Slide the tool onto the tubing near the quick-connect fitting.
• Press the tool firmly against the collet (the ring at the fitting opening) so it depresses evenly.
• While holding the collet in, pull the tubing straight out.
• Before reconnecting, cut the tube end square and check for burrs — a clean cut makes a better seal.
• If your fitting has a C-clip locking ring, pull the clip off first before using the tool.
