What it does
This set refills the classic 3-stage Big Blue whole-house configuration with premium coconut-shell carbon in both carbon stages — the upgrade for households where water taste is the top priority. Same proven stage order, better media: sediment catches the grit, coconut GAC does the heavy chemical lifting on chlorine, taste, odor, and VOCs, and the coconut carbon block gives water its finest polish before it reaches your taps.
Why coconut carbon? Coconut-shell activated carbon has a finer micropore structure than standard carbon. Those smaller pores adsorb small taste- and odor-causing organic molecules more effectively — which is why coconut carbon is prized in drinking-water applications. You get noticeably better taste polishing, and the CACB-10BB coconut block carries a longer 6–12 month service life than a standard CTO.
All three cartridges fit standard 10″ × 4.5″ Big Blue housings. Install in flow order — sediment first, coconut GAC second, coconut carbon block last — and one filter change restores the whole system to day-one performance.

Good to know before you buy
Install in flow order. Sediment in the FIRST housing (water inlet side), coconut GAC second, coconut carbon block third. Out of order, the carbon stages clog with grit and die early.
Coconut vs. standard triple-stage set. Both sets cover the same 3-stage configuration. This set uses premium coconut-shell carbon in both carbon stages — finer micropore structure for better taste polishing and longer carbon life (CACB block: 6–12 months vs. standard CTO: 3–12 months). The standard SGC-10BB set is the budget-first alternative if taste isn’t the deciding factor.
The sediment stage may need changing more often. On dirtier water the sediment cartridge (3–6 months) can wear out before the coconut carbons (6–12 months). If that’s your pattern, add a couple of single SED5-10BB cartridges to your order — quantity pricing on singles covers it.
Chlorine, not chloramine. Coconut carbon handles chlorine well; chloramine-treated water needs catalytic carbon (CAT-10BB) for effective reduction. Check your utility’s water report if you’re not sure which your city uses.
Flush on install. Run water to drain for a few minutes after a change — new carbon releases harmless fines at first, and the GAC especially so.
