This is our premium bulk refill for a 3-stage slim 10″×2.5″ system — eight complete sets in one box, built around our best-tasting carbon polish. It works two ways: as the full filter set for a 3-stage whole-house system, or as the pre-filter set for an under-sink reverse-osmosis system (sediment + carbon before the RO membrane).
What makes it premium is stage 3: instead of the standard carbon block, this pack ships with our coconut-shell carbon block (CBCO-10). Coconut carbon’s finer pore structure gives it noticeably better taste-and-odor polishing than standard CTO — the same upgrade the CBCO cartridge is prized for in single-cartridge form. Stages 1 and 2 (sediment and GAC) match the standard 3-stage pack; the coconut block replaces the CTO at the end.
How long does eight sets last? At our recommended 6-month change interval, eight sets is a genuine 4-year supply — and if you stretch changes toward 12 months on cleaner water, it goes further, up to about 8 years. At $129 for eight sets, that’s about $16 per set — a real premium bump over standard, with the coconut block earning it in the glass.
What this set targets — and what it isn’t built for.
Premium vs. standard carbon. Only stage 3 changes: this pack uses our coconut-shell carbon block for the best taste-and-odor polish; the standard 3UF24 uses the CTO carbon block. Same everything else — same sediment, same GAC. Choose this if taste is the priority; choose standard if lowest per-set cost is.
Whole house or RO pre-filter — same set. These three stages are the standard sediment-and-carbon line-up used both in 3-stage whole-house systems and ahead of an under-sink RO membrane. If you run RO, this refills the pre-filters; the membrane itself is separate.
Install in flow order. Sediment first (inlet side), GAC second, coconut block third. Out of order, the carbon stages clog with grit and wear out early.
On chloramine? This isn’t the set. Standard GAC and carbon block reduce chlorine well but not chloramine — that needs catalytic carbon. If your city uses chloramine (its annual water report will say), swap the GAC stage for a catalytic cartridge.
Store spares sealed, cool and dry — flush on each change. Keep unused cartridges in their wrap until it’s their turn (carbon especially keeps best unopened), and run water to drain a few minutes after installing new carbon.
