Description
A tank shut-off valve for RO pressurized storage tanks. Screws onto the tank stem (1/4″ FPT) and connects to 1/4″ OD tubing via push-fit. Quarter-turn on/off for service, filter changes, and troubleshooting.
What it does
This tank ball valve screws onto the 1/4″ male threaded stem on top of an RO pressurized storage tank. The other end accepts 1/4″ OD tubing via quick-connect. A quarter-turn of the handle shuts off flow to/from the tank — essential for isolating the tank during filter changes, membrane replacement, or troubleshooting.
Without a tank valve, you’d have to shut off the entire system feed and drain the tank before servicing. This valve lets you close just the tank while the rest of the system stays pressurized.
Key benefits
- ✓1/4″ FPT × 1/4″ QC — threaded tank side, push-fit tubing side
- ✓Quarter-turn ball valve — fast, definite on/off
- ✓Tank isolation — service filters without draining the tank
- ✓Push-to-connect tubing side — tool-free
- ✓Works with standard RO pressurized storage tanks
- ✓Automatic quantity discounts
Specifications
Compatibility
- Standard RO pressurized storage tanks with 1/4″ male stem
- Under-sink RO systems
- 1/4″ OD tubing
- Countertop RO systems (typically no storage tank)
- 3/8″ OD tubing
- Non-RO tanks without a 1/4″ threaded stem
Often used with
Good to know before you buy
- Wrap tank stem threads with PTFE tape (2–3 turns) before screwing the valve on.
- Hand-tighten, then snug gently — do not over-torque.
- Push 1/4″ tubing into the QC port until seated.
