Description
A straight adapter that connects a 1/4″ male threaded fitting (MNPT) to 1/4″ OD quick-connect tubing — the standard fitting for connecting a refrigerator water line, ice maker, or any 1/4″ threaded port to push-fit RO tubing.
What it does
This female adapter has a 1/4″ FNPT (female thread) on one end that screws onto a 1/4″ MNPT male port, and a 1/4″ OD quick-connect on the other end that accepts standard RO tubing. PTFE tape on the threaded side; push-fit on the tube side.
The most common use is connecting a refrigerator or ice maker water line to a 1/4″ male supply valve — hence the “fridge” SKU. But it works anywhere you need to adapt a 1/4″ MNPT threaded port to push-fit 1/4″ tubing.

Often used with
Good to know before you buy
- Wrap the male port threads with PTFE tape (2–3 turns clockwise) before screwing this adapter on.
- Hand-tighten, then snug gently. Do not over-torque.
- Push 1/4″ OD tubing firmly into the QC port until it seats.
- Confirm thread size before ordering — this is 1/4″ FNPT, not 1/8″ or 3/8″.
- To disconnect tubing: press the collet in and pull the tube straight out.
