Description
Connects a standard 3/4″ garden or laundry hose outlet to 1/4″ OD quick-connect tubing — an alternative to faucet diverters when you want to run your countertop RO system or water filter from a hose bib instead of the kitchen faucet.
What it does
This adapter screws onto any standard 3/4″ garden hose thread (GHT) outlet — an outdoor hose bib, a laundry hookup, or a utility faucet — and converts it to a 1/4″ OD quick-connect (push-fit) tubing connection. Push your 1/4″ tubing in and you have a secure, leak-resistant feed line for your countertop RO system, water filter, or other low-pressure application.
It’s especially useful when you don’t have a compatible kitchen faucet (pull-down, spray-style, or touchless faucets can’t accept a diverter), or when you want to set up your RO system in a garage, utility room, or outdoor area where a hose bib is the closest water source.

Often used with
Good to know before you buy
- Hand-tighten the hose end. A rubber washer inside the GHT connection creates the seal — check it’s seated before connecting. Over-tightening with pliers can damage the washer.
- Push 1/4″ tubing firmly into the QC port until it seats. Give it a gentle tug to confirm it’s held.
- Turn on the water slowly and check for leaks before walking away.
- If you’re running a long tube from the hose bib to the RO system, make sure the tubing isn’t kinked — kinks restrict flow and reduce membrane performance.
- Can’t use a kitchen faucet diverter? This adapter is the solution for pull-down, spray, or sensor faucets that don’t have a removable aerator.
