What it is

This black RO membrane housing holds a standard 1812 or 2012 reverse osmosis membrane (both sizes fit — this is standard across MWC systems). It connects to your system via 1/8″ MNPT threaded ports on each end, sealed with PTFE (Teflon) tape.

Use it as a direct replacement for a cracked, discolored, or leaking membrane housing in a countertop or under-sink RO system. The housing itself is a pressure vessel — it protects the membrane and maintains the seal that allows reverse osmosis to work. Membrane not included.

Good to know before you buy

• Confirm your port size is 1/8″ before ordering. Some systems use 1/4″ ports — the wrong thread size will not seal.
• Wrap threads with PTFE (Teflon) tape (2–3 turns) before connecting fittings. Hand-tighten only — do not use a wrench, which can crack the housing.
• Check for leaks after installation before putting the system into service.
• The black (opaque) color blocks light, which helps prevent algae growth inside the housing — an advantage over clear/translucent housings in setups exposed to any ambient light.
