Description
A bone char inline filter for the final stage of an RO or drinking-water system — reduces fluoride and selected dissolved metals. Standard 10″ × 2″ format with two 1/4″ quick-connect elbows included.
What it does
Bone char is one of the few filter media that meaningfully adsorbs fluoride, which is why it runs as its own dedicated stage rather than as part of a standard carbon cartridge. This cartridge adds that stage to a countertop or under-sink RO system without changing anything else about the setup.
It belongs after the membrane, as a polishing stage. Water arriving there has already passed sediment, carbon and RO, and that is what lets the bone char last — placed ahead of the membrane it loads up with everything else and is spent in weeks. Alongside fluoride it can reduce selected dissolved metals, depending on your water chemistry and draw rate.
