What it is
This 1/4″ OD polyethylene tubing carries water between the components of a reverse osmosis (RO), countertop, or inline filter system. It makes a secure, leak-resistant connection when used with standard 1/4″ quick-connect (push-fit) fittings — just cut it square and push it in.
Flexible yet durable, it routes cleanly around tight spaces and resists kinking and cracking under normal operating conditions. It fits most RO systems, inline filters, pressure tanks, valves, and fittings that use 1/4″ OD tubing. Sold by the length — pick the size you need from 3 to 50 feet.
NSF/ANSI 42, 58 & 61 Certified
This tubing is independently tested and certified to three NSF/ANSI standards for use in drinking-water systems:
- Standard 61 — drinking-water system components: the material is safe for contact with potable water.
- Standard 58 — reverse osmosis: suitable for use in RO drinking-water systems.
- Standard 42 — aesthetic effects: does not impart taste or odor to the water.

Good to know before you buy
- Always cut the tubing square (90°) before inserting into a quick-connect fitting. An angled or ragged cut is the most common cause of leaks. A tubing cutter makes this easy.
- Push the tube fully into the fitting until it seats, then give it a gentle tug to confirm it’s held.
- Measure your run and add a little extra — it’s better to trim than to come up short. Order the next length up if you’re between sizes.
- Confirm your system uses 1/4″ OD tubing (the most common size). 3/8″ systems need 3/8″ tubing.
- Rated 40–100°F — residential cold-water drinking systems only, not hot-water lines.
