This is the premium final-stage carbon block, made from renewable coconut-shell activated carbon. Its dense block structure gives longer contact time than granular carbon, reducing chlorine, VOCs, and organic chemicals while polishing away any lingering taste and odor.
Coconut-shell carbon is the upgrade over a standard coal-based block: higher adsorption efficiency, cleaner taste, and lower ash content. If your priority is the best-tasting drinking water at the tap, this is the block to finish your system with.
It runs at a low pressure drop for stable flow, filters fine particulate down to 10 micron, and fits standard 10″ × 2.5″ (9⅞″ × 2.5″) housings — as the final stage in whole-house or under-sink RO systems (cold water only).

CBCO vs. standard CTO. Both are final-stage blocks. Choose CBCO (this one) for the cleanest taste and highest adsorption; choose the CTO-10 if you want the same job at a lower price.
It’s a polishing stage, not a pre-filter. Put sediment and any specialty media (iron, KDF) before it. Carbon does its best work at the end of the line.
Not for iron or rotten-egg smell. For iron or H₂S, use the CATKDF85-10 as your carbon stage — then finish with this block for taste.
